I am receiving notifications, but my iPhone is not playing any sound.

If you are receiving notifications on your iPhone, but it does not play a noise when you receive notifications, take a look at the switch on the left side of your iPhone. This is known as the Ringer/Silent switch, which puts your iPhone in Silent mode when you push the switch towards the back of your iPhone. Push the switch towards the front of your iPhone to hear an audible alert when you receive a notification.

Restart your iPhone

A minor software glitch could be the reason why your iPhone is not receiving notifications. Sometimes, restarting your iPhone can fix such minor software issues.

Deactivate Do Not Disturb

One of the most common reasons iPhone notifications don't work is because Do Not Disturb is turned on. Do Not Disturb is a feature that silences all calls, text messages and other alerts on your iPhone.

Enable Always show previews

If iPhone notifications are not working, you may have turned off Always show previews in the Settings app. Notification previews are the small application alerts that appear on your iPhone screen.
