iPhones can prevent monitoring attempts by third parties. Apple has put together a user manual that will let you know what personal data to share with others, even if you have already given permission and access to third parties. This gives you an overview of how your own devices can be made more secure.

Reset your iPhone without losing data

According to Apple, the easiest way to revoke actions is to reset the iPhone. Resetting the iPhone to factory settings will also erase access rights. A backup should be made beforehand so that all information can be reloaded.

Changing passwords and removing FaceID or TouchID

By changing your Apple ID password and other passwords for sensitive data, you can also block unauthorized persons. If you have any doubts about security, it is better not to automatically fill in passwords. Also, check if someone can access the iPhone using FaceID or TouchID. In the settings, you can see if an alternative facial recognition has been set up or if more fingerprints have been saved. These can also be easily deleted there.

With the «Search» application you can share your own location so that other people know where you are. If this is no longer necessary, individual users can delete it by clicking on the profile. According to Apple, deletion of the app is done without notification to other users. However, if you have shared your location with iMessage, it will automatically send a notification that tracking has stopped when you delete it.

Uses two-factor authentication

Enable two-factor authentication under Password & Security so that, for example, an SMS code is required to log in.
