If you want to achieve maximum life, you should always keep your iPhone's battery level between 20 and 80 percent. This might be particularly difficult with the iPhone, as they are known for a rather low battery capacity. However, both the iPhone 8 and iPhone XR offer considerably more screen time than the iPhone 7.
3. Close applications completely after use.
   A large proportion of mobile device users do not close applications properly, but simply exit them using the "back function" or the home button. However, applications remain active in the background and continue to consume power, which indirectly affects battery life. Therefore, applications should always be closed completely.
4. Not LTE, but 3G.
   A special tip for those who have a mobile package or a mobile contract with a low data transfer rate: Disabling LTE in the smartphone settings saves a lot of capacity because 3G as a transmission standard is much more energy efficient.
5. Deactivate unnecessary connections.
   Apart from the brightness of the screen, all possible connections to the outside world are also among the most energy-consuming. This is especially true in the case of Wi-Fi. While this function is activated, the smartphone constantly searches for possible connections. This has a huge impact on battery life, so this function should only be activated when a Wi-Fi connection is actually intended. Furthermore, GPS, ANT+ and Bluetooth should only be activated when they are really needed.
6. Deactivation of haptic feedback.
   Haptic feedback improves the user experience, but costs an unnecessary amount of energy. Therefore, everyone who wants to achieve maximum battery life should deactivate vibration alerts and haptic feedback in various apps. This can be quickly deactivated in the settings menu of the smartphone.
7. Avoid extreme temperatures.
   Temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius or below freezing point are very detrimental to battery life. Therefore, the mobile phone should be stored in a shady place in summer and in a warm pocket inside a jacket in winter.
